I don't think I've heard the word "cute" more times in such a short period of time as I did today at The Puppy Barn in American Fork. I snuck away from work for 45 minutes to take Anna on a daddy daughter date. She was in heaven. Lots of cute little puppies to hold and play with and it seems like a nice clean facility where the puppies get lots of love and attention. I know there are concerns about puppy mills but from my untrained eye this place seems like a fun place to find a good puppy.
Check it out for yourself and tell us what you think. For more information on the establishment check out the Puppy Barn Facebook page. They're located at 364 E. State St. American Fork 801-400-3810. I'm sure Anna and now probably Kate will want to return for some more puppy cuteness.

This year Kate and I signed up for the Cedar Hills ski bus. So far we've had two ski days and we have one left to go. For $190 Kate gets a two hour ski lesson each day, a bus ride up to Snowbird, and a day pass to ski her heart out. I volunteered to be a chaperon which means I ride up on the bus with the kids, I get a free ski pass for the day, and I watch over 5 kids for the second half of the day after the lesson is over. It has bee a total blast and Kate is now able to tackle beginner hills with confidence. It has been a great experience together and an affordable way to teach Kate to ski. If you missed out this year be sure to sign up next year. You don't have to be a Cedar Hills resident to sign up. Your town might also have a ski bus worth looking into. Now if only we had more snow!
#CedarHillsSkiBus #SnowBird #Skischool Showing homes we come across some of the funniest stuff. What do you think of this toilet paper holder? I expect to see this on somebody's Pinterest board. #newhomeideas #keepitclassyutahcounty #BestTPholdersever
Anna had a hard night last night so Kate made her a piggy bank out of an old milk carton, some toilet paper rolls, a pipe cleaner, cartoon eyes, and some paint. Not bad for a kid. Provo rec center on Presidents' Day was a crazy house! We tried to take our kids swimming but it was so crowded I hardly would call it swimming. That said, if you haven't been to Provo rec center go check it out. They have fun pool slides, lap pools, lazy river, indoor rock climbing, basketball courts, tons of exercise equipment, and more. I was impressed. Go check it out! If you're lucky enough to get President's day off we hope you're enjoying your day. If you do have to work today just remember it could be worse...you could be president of the nation. I wonder if the president gets today off.
It's difficult to find a high quality home that isn't gigantic here in Utah County. Sarah Susanka, the author of The Not So Big House, is one of my favorite architects because of the creative way in which she designs space. A bigger home is not always advantageous for one's lifestyle and in fact can be a detriment to the way a family interacts with one another in the home. Sarah explores lifestyles and then designs homes suited to the lifestyle of the individual. If you're considering building a home but you're not excited about building another Utah "McMansion" or if you're really interested in how to utilize your the space of your home to the best of it's ability then check out Sarah's work. Her books are chalk full of fantastic ideas that might alter the way in which you think about using your square footage. http://www.susanka.com/ Post by Sarah Susanka. Post by Sarah Susanka. I came across this on the Business Insider page and loved it. I am constantly trying to remind myself not to make decisions based on fear. Catching some Zzzzz. Heidi had her first four hour uninterrupted stretch of sleep last night in a month. This kid is one good kid but newborns no matter how good are still tough. Utah's Aaron Oldham (another awesome local real estate agent) in my opinion still has the best Doritos super bowl commercial of all time. GOAT. |
